SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMAH! May 2020

We started the month of May with such a fantastic visit to our neighbors ranch.  The Knibbe's were kind enough to invite our family over to visit with the animals and even feed the new calf, Hershey.  They also had some tiny chick's to play with, too.

Our dear friends, the Handke's, were moving to Georgia for Joe's work.  We couldn't bear to let them leave without getting toghether for one last dinner, swim & drinks.  They have quickly become some of our dearest friends & we are very sad to see them go.

We celebrated one of my very favorite Holiday's, Mother's Day, at home, in the backyard, by the pool.  Grandy, Clarence, Milo & Brisa joined us for a relaxing afternoon of food, family, swimming & wine.
While we were having lots of fun swimming in the pool, as often as possible... on-line school continued.  Jett & Delilah woke up, got up, got dressed & logged-in every single day for class.  They did each assignment with pride and gave it their all.  With such strange and confusing times happening for children, the Twins never wavered.  Delilah even found out that she won an award for her entry into the PTA Reflections Contest. We are so proud to be their Mommy & Daddy.
We celebrated Memorial Day out in the fresh air, by the Guadalupe River, with dear friends.  It was our (our families) first time (thanks to Covid) to be out & about, in public, with more folks than just our family. While I was a bit nervous, I think it was definitely a needed and appreciated couple of hours.
We spent another warm & fabulous afternoon by the pool with Clarence, Milo & Brisa.  The temps were really climbing so the pool felt fabulous!
Our May camping trip was to Kerrville at a place called By The River.  The twins finished up their school year while we were there and even logged-in, from a lounge chair, to attend the virtual Awards Ceremony.  Both kids stayed on the A Honor Roll, Accelerated Readers & Specialty awards.  While we were there we at dinners by the campfire, tubed, caught up with our friends, the Strottner's & Ulrich's, relaxed and weathered a horrible hail storm.  In fact... 2 nights of hail storms!  It was still a fabulous weekend.

In addition to all of these fun times we also had some other play dates, movie nights & afternoons playing in rain puddles & the pool.
