Memories in store for 2024!

 JANUARY 2024

Holidays were over & the kids got right back into the routine of things. Bright & early Delilah had to be up & at'em to meet up with the rest of the Silver Star dancers to hand out flyers for the up & coming Daddy Daughter Dance.  Even freezing cold... she's so cute!

While D is up before the sun for 3 mornings in a row, Jett gets treated to donuts & Rich helped me get another listing ready to hit the market.  For lunch, I took him to one of my most favorite sandwich shops in SA, The Brown Bag.
With the Holiday stuff put away, it was time to do just a little decorating for Valentines Day.
The time had come for Jett & Delilah to get braces.  This was round 2 for Delilah but a first for Jett, to do his initial consultation.  Dr. Smith & his 2 office-doggies put them both at ease.  Delilah's went on right away but also had to schedule 2 of her teeth to be removed.  Jett's will go on very soon.
Jett is really growing in his new passion for Tennis.  Rich & I enjoy watching him at all of his matches.
For Christmas we gave Jett & Delilah a ping pong table.  So, in hopes to be able to play it year round, we moved it from the garage to the game room.  It took some maneuvering but we placed it in its new home.
The SBMS Competitive Theater Team participated in a UIL competition.  It was 2 separate weekends in a row, one for a run-through at SVHS & then the real thing at Canyon High School.  While they didn't walk away with a WIN, all of the kids did a fabulous job.  Chris, Granny, flew in all of the way from Boston to watch her do here thing.  Delilah is truly growing as an actress & performer.
Both kids have made such good friends that we adore & we love when things slow down enough for them to spend time together.  Sleep overs & memories...
Always... if I leave my phone unattended, the next time I open it, I find photos like these!  Always makes me laugh.
Silver Stars repping for Basketball games...
Delilah's plate has been really full, between theater & dance.  The Silver Stars performed at the Dance Showcase at Pieper High School. It was really something to watch all of the different schools in the district show off their routines. It is always also so special when friends come to support our kiddos.

A few extra photos from the month of January that I don't want to leave out:
FEBRUARY 2024
For 3 years in a row Rich & I have hosted a beautiful, professionally catered Valentines dinner for our friends & neighbors.  It's always so special... My old friend from high school, Toby Delarosa cooks for us, I decorate & set the table with a romantic flare, & of course, always offer a signature drink of the evening.

One of the most beautiful sunrises that I have ever seen off of our back porch.
I met up with some friends & neighbors for a Galentines lunch at Alamo Cafe...
Amanda yet another dance performance but this time at SVHS.
Another day, another Pep Rally, another dance performance.
Each year the Silver Stars Dance Team hosts the annual Daddy Daughter Dance.  The Friday night before, it was all hands on deck to decorate & prepare.
Bright & early the next morning, the day of the dance, Delilah & I headed up to the school to finish preparing for the dance.  After all was done, the girls had a little down time to get ready themselves.  While this year was a little different for Delilah, as she was hosting the dance versus just showing up to have a good time.  But, in the end, her & Rich were able to steal a few minutes here & there to have fun.

Valentines at school... homemade sweatshirt for plus heart glasses for the win!  And a pic of me with all of my babies!  Rich & I surprised the twins at school with lunch!  And, I can't forget... every day for 14 days,  I put hearts on their bedroom doors, with one compliment.  I think it brightens their day & shows them what I think of them & how special they are.  For dinner we made some heart shaped pasta with sauce & delicious cupcakes for dessert.
In order for Delilah's braces to make the most impact the quickest, Delilah needed to have 2 teeth pulled.  She was put under local anesthesia which terrified me.  But, she was such a trooper & did great.  She's always been such a strong girl.

She recovered just in time for a little shopping day with her BFF, Henley.
For the 3rd year, I was honored to be recognized for my work as a Real Estate Agent with Texas Premier Realty.  We picked up Tanya & Jason & had a wonderful evening with dinner, drinks & some laughs.
My friend Megan invited me to participate in an opportunity to update my professional headshots.  It was a lot of fun & I actually ended up liking a few of them.
I love to surprise my kiddos with treats every now & then.  Crumbl cookies NEVER disappoint!!
Delilah had her very first season of Dance Team Competition season.  The first one was the Crowd Pleasers Competition.  We made treat bags for everyone; a survival kit for Ms L & even special goodies for Rhys, who rode with us to the competition.  The Team participated in routines in Contemporary; Pom; Novelty & Hip Hop.  Delilah and Ashley also competed with their duet for the very first time.  I am so very proud of the dancer Delilah is growing into.

While Delilah & I were gone for dance, the boys went exploring, ate pizza & watched movies.  I love & cherish these special times when we have the kiddos one on one.
Another beautiful sunset over the tennis courts...
Jett had his very first SBMS tennis match in February.  It was at Alamo Heights & while they didn't do as well as they. had hoped... I think Jett had fun.  He got to ride a bus to the school & we all showed up to cheer him on.
A sweet not from my favorite boy. He always makes me feel like I'm the luckiest Mommy in the world.
And, some extra photos from our month:
