SOFTBALL, COSTUMES, BASEBALL & BOO'S!

 OCTOBER 2022

I start every October by decorating (just a little) for Halloween.

Wouldn't be Halloween season without a Haunted Trail walk with friends.

Mooooore baseball & softball and just like that, Fall Ball comes to an end.

Delilah decided to try something new.  Which, honestly, isn't too strange because she is ALWAYS trying to better self, teach herself & grow.  From learning how to walk, read, color, draw, ride a bike & now this... D decided to start playing volleyball.  I took her to her first clinic and she really loved it.
Whew!  When I say that these kids are growing up way too fast, I mean it.  It really hit me when their very first school dance came around.  They looked sooo cute & handsome I coudn't stop taking photos.  They met up with Kolby, Evelyn & a few other friends and just had the very best night dancing & hanging out.  Of course, Rich & I volunteered to chaperone... it was their first dance, ya know!
Celebrating sweet friends and their birthdays are always so much fun.  Delilah was invited to a costume birthday party for her school friend, Ashley.
At Jett & Delilah's school, the ceiling of the school is made up of square, foam ceiling tiles.  The teachers allow students to take them home, to paint them so they can be placed back into the ceiling, leaving that students mark on the school.  Such a fun, neat tradition.  Delilah painted two tiles for two separate classrooms.
Just LOOK at these two kids!!  Jett Carlson & Delilah Rose, school photos 2022:
Since Jett chose to take Art as one of his electives his 6th grade year, he has learned so much & really & gotten better in all aspects.  Here are a couple of his drawings that really blew me away.
Halloween costume parties are a favorite thing for this Anderson family.  We've always dressed up for Halloween, so this costume party was no different.  For the Woods' Annual Costume Party we decided to dress as EACHOTHER!!  Rich was Jett, I was Delilah & vice versa.  It was a real hoot!!  There's no doubt that the kids "wore it better"!
Apparently 6th graders are too cool to participate in a lot of the school "dress up" stuff.  In fact, most of it, I didn't even know about those days until it was too late.  But, J & D agreed to dress as a favorite book character and then on western day.

Of course we absolutely cherish our time with our kiddos but we will also be the first to admit that we love our date-nights with sweet friends.
There's a nearby garden nursery that is always hosting Seasonal, fun things to do as a family. Spring Creek Gardens opened up a pumpkin patch where kids could carve and decorate pumpkins and then enter them into a contest for everyone to vote.  Jett won FIRST PRIZE!  Nice job, buddy.  As a bonus, we got to spend some fun time with friends, the McCauley's.
Halloween hair and teeth for school:
Halloween 2022 the Anderson's dressed up as 2 tacos, a food truck sales guy & Siriacha sauce.  Such a fun evening of riding around in the golf cart/food truck, trick or treating & having a blast with friends and neighbors.
Some final pictures from the month of October:
