We started the month of August with an overdue visit to Massachusetts. We actually stayed in Cape cod, at Aunt Kathy & Uncle Frank's home away from home. We had 5 days & 4 nights filled with visiting family, delicious drinks, games & exploring some of the East coast.
Before leaving town, we had dinner with Uncle Clarence, Milo & Brisa at Little Italy. They watched Diesel for us, while we were out of town. After a busy week in Cape Cod, sleeping in late was sure appreciated. I love it when these 2 snuggle in my bed on shift nights.
After we got home from Boston, Delilah attended a swim party the entire dance team. I got to meet some of the other Moms & Delilah hung out & giggled & swam with her buddies.
Next up was Schedule Pick-Up at the middle school. Delilah & Jett were very excited & anxious to get their schedules & see how many classes they shared with friends. Delilah is super excited about 7th grade since her sweet friend, Henley, will be at the same school!
The Powder Puff football game is such a fun tradition at Spring Branch Middle School. The girls play flag football & the boys cheer on the sidelines & then do a dance for halftime. So, that means dance practice for Jett.Back to school haircuts were next on the calendar. Ms Mary knows exactly how they like their hair & has them looking school-ready!Next up was Schedule Pick-Up at the middle school. Back to school means an updated, back to school 3-tier decoration:
Before school started, Rich & I decided to organize the neighborhoods very first Progressive Dinner Party. It all started out at our home, with appetizers & boozy pudding shots. Next up was Meg & Des's for the salad then on to Maria & Patrick's for the main course. We finished the evening & Jen & Matt's for some yummy dessert!
POWDER PUUUUFFFF! Such a fun tradition for the SBMS kiddos. Delilah steps up for the role of football player & Jett gets to cheer for his favorite team! It felt like it was 200 degrees outside but those kids age it their all. Afterwards, we met up with the Carter's for lunch!Another Anderson tradition is Sundaes on Sunday before school starts. We added in some homemade pizzas & then finished the evening with family game night.
The first day of school for 2023-2024 came way too soon! But, with a new backpack for Delilah, lunches made & clothes set out... they were ready to start 7th grade!
FIRST DAY OF 7TH GRADE:
With all of the children back in school, the Momma's met up at our house for a day of cocktails & laughs!
A Girls Night Out!
Early morning dance practice for Delilah means she's up & at school before the sun rises. For Jett, that means DONUTS!
Rich & I made our way up to the school to watch Sydney play in a volleyball game! She was amazing!
