What a great way to start the month of September! A camping trip with some of our faves, to celebrate my birthday, in Fredericksburg. We stayed at a new place called Firefly RV Resort & had tons of fun hanging by the pool, playing corn hole, shopping & lunch in downtown Fredericksburg. Not a bad start to ol' 55!
Poor, Jett! While in Fredericksburg my little buddy picked up a horrible case of salmonella! He was pretty sick, running very high fevers for many days. After 10 days, there was finally light at the end of the tunnel. And a sweet card signed by lots of his classmates, that Delilah brought home from school!
On my actual birthday, I received a sweet gift from my friend, Terrah, my favorite handmade cards from Jett & Delilah & we celebrated with sushi, carrot cake & whiskey. That weekend I got to celebrate my birthday AGAIN with some sweet friends at the new steak house in town, Savour. It was a delicious meal with great wine & we all polished off the evening with nightcaps at Bourbon & Branch.
Delilah is expected to wear make-up for her dance performances. Eyeshadow, the smokey eye to be exact, eyeliner, blush & lipstick. Well, Delilah has never really loved playing with make up so her & I had to sit down & have a quick lesson. End result...
There is nothing that we love more than showing up for our kids! In all that they do, try, practice & excel in... we are there! So, when it comes to watching Delilah dance for various sports... it fills my heart with such joy & pride! Just as we love sitting in the stands watching Delilah dance, we equally love sitting on the sidelines while cheering on Jett. He's really enjoying tennis & we are thrilled that he has found a passion.
Some fun dress up days at school for Red Ribbon Week!
Prayer At The Pole Morning at Spring Branch Middle School:
This birthday was a H-U-G-E one!! My miracle babies, born at 5.2 & 4.3 pounds, turned 13 years old. We literally blinked & their teenagers! Since Covid, we started camping for their birthday, in lieu of a big party. This year we camped with some sweet friends at Camp Fimfo, in Canyon Lake & the theme was "Taco 'Bout Teenagers!" They swam, did the water slides, rode bikes, played games, we had a pinata, tacos, cupcakes & lots of candy! I hope these are memories that they will never forget!
Can't forget the extra photos that just have to be included:
