For the last few years we have spent the 4th of July Holiday at Crystal Beach. We rent a home on the beach & enjoy falling asleep & waking up to the sounds of the waves & the constant breeze. Milo & Brisa joined us for 5 of the days but Clarence couldn't come along due to his work.
We played in the surf & sand; played board games; went for walks on the beach; ate yummy, family dinners; enjoyed a couple of ferry rides to Galveston; sipped banana daiquiri's at Murdoch's; dinner @ Mamma Teresa's Flying Pizza & watched fireworks while eating s'mores on the beach. It's probably one of my most favorite weeks every year. Maybe one day, we can call Crystal Beach "home".
Once home from the beach, I met up with some friends for lunch, to celebrate Leah's birthday.
A really deep & important movie came out that we thought it would be important for the twins to see. The Sound Of Freedom is a movie about child trafficking. It was hard to watch but we hope that it makes Jett & Delilah understand just why we are so concerned with their whereabouts & talking with strangers.Jett has taken up tennis this year. We are super excited that he's found something that he enjoys & that keeps him active. He participated in several tennis camps over the Summer. While Jett joined some tennis camps, Delilah participated in more dance camps. We are thrilled that they both have found such joy in their new hobbies. One evening, we spent some time with our dear friends, The Almaguer's, catching up & swimming in their brand new pool.Next up, a little back-to-school shopping. TWO different trips. One with just us, family, & one with Sylvia & Henley.
