ALL ABOUT ANDERSON'S: JUNE 2023: SUMMER!!!

JUNE 2023

Nothing says Summer vacay like a camping trip to the beach! We packed up, loaded down the camper & met the Ruston's in Freeport, at Blue Water RV Resort. We spent our days at the beach, touring the Galveston Strand, taking strolls in the sand, yummy dinners & a zillion laughs!

Last Summer Delilah & I started painted wooden earrings. This Summer, Delilah's friend, Henley, invited her to participate in a Young Entrepreneurs Market Days at Spring Creek Gardens. She named her business "Hey There, Delilah!" (yes, after the song) & set up shop & sold earrings. She did really well, making about $90.

We celebrated Uncle Clarence's birthday with dinner in San Antonio, at Costa Pacifico. It was great to see so many friends & family members.

Jett wasn't able to attend the birthday dinner for Clarence as he was celebrating one of his Buddy's birthday. Kolbey had a group of great boys over to swim, eat pizza, play video games & stay up waaaay too late!

Since Delilah made the dance team for next year, she's required to attend a certain amount of hours of dance camps throughout the Summer. She and some friends attended one in Stone Oak & had a blast! And while she was dancing her heart out Jett was sweating his butt off at TAC camp at the high school. On their last day I took the kiddos to eat some ice cream & then they hung out at the neighborhood pool.

IT'S TIME FOR SUMMER CAMP!!! This was the second year in a row that Jett & Delilah have attended the CBC Summer overnight camp. It's 4 nights & in Waxahachi at Lakeview Camp. They didn't take their cell phones with them but we did get some photos from the counselors and they called Rich for Father's Day. They loved every minute and already looking forward to next year.

We were so excited for them to come home from camp. There was just a little bit of drama surrounding that drop off. First, Jett's bus was about an hour away from camp when their bus was hit by a car. They had to pull over & sit on the side of the highway while they waited for another replacement bus. Delilah's bus arrived in the parking lot around 4:20pm and as soon as she got off of the bus, I knew she was sick! We had to wait around for Jett's bus that FINALLY arrived around 7pm. As soon as we dropped off Jett & Rich at the house I rushed Delilah to the Texas Med clinic where she tested positive for strep! Bleh!

While Jett & Delilah were gone Rich & I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. Twice!! First, we had an amazing dinner with some dear friends, The Brown's, at Kirby's Steakhouse. Then, on the actual evening of our anniversary, we got Chinese take out, wine & watched Vanderpump Rules. Perfect evening with the love of my life. Cheers to 14 (or more) more!

Once the kids were home we didn't let them rest too much! Well, Delilah, anyways! She was off to another dance camp with some friends!

At the end of the month, it was time to load up and head to Crystal Beach for our 8 day vacation over the 4th of July. We picked up Milo & Brisa to spend the night with us, so we could get on the road ASAP. For the drive there, the girls drove in my car & the boys in Rich's truck.
