NOVEMBER 2021: Cancelled Plans, Covid & Thankfulness

Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns put aside & turkeys & pumpkins in place.  It seems the days, months & years are truly flying by.

It was almost time for my friend, Jen Starr, to get married.  A group of gals got together to celebrate her & her new future. LOTS OF LAUGHS!
Some special friends from New York, the Hess's, were in town for a visit.  We met up (sans kids) at Tejas Rodeo for a yummy steak dinner.
While Rich & I were at dinner, Jett & Delilah had playdates of their own.  Jett went to Kolby's & Delilah went to Brisa's.  Looks like we ALL had a great evening!
The Beebe-Starr Rehearsal Dinner was in downtown San Antonio at the Mexican restaurant Mi Tierra.  There were mariachis, margaritas & lots of food.
Bright & early the next morning Jett & Delilah had another Chess tournament.  They both imporoved and the school, as a whole, landed in first place!!!
Rich was on shift, unfortunately, but I scooted out of the Chess tournament just a little early to get dressed for Jenn & Matt's big day... their WEDDING DAY!  The ceremony was at Bulverde United Methodist Church and then the reception was downtown at Ocho.  We ate, drank, danced, laughed & celebrated this special couple. CONGRATULATIONS to Matt & Jenn!!
This month of November was absolutely jammed pack... We went from dinners to tournaments to a wedding & then next up was Brisa Bella's birthday.  We wouldn't miss this special day for anything.  A magician came by & did some tricks and then we celebrated with dinner and cake.
Before school let out for the Thanksgiving break the Twins were given one last school project.  They were given the task to create their own books about Circuits & Electricity.  They both did such a phenomenal job!

It was bound to happen!  The Anderson's went 2 years but it finally hit our home.  Yes, I'm talking about the dreaded virus, Covid-19.  On the way home from Brisa's birthday party Jett started feeling a little under the weather.  While he wasn't feeling "awful" he was running a slight fever. So, he stayed home from school Monday & Tuesday. On Wednesday we received word via email that numerous students & teachers had tested positive. One of those students just happened to be one Jett's close friends, so we decided to give Jett a home test.  Sure enough, Jett's test came up positive.  That meant that our annual camping trip to Jellystone in Burleson was cancelled.  BOO!
We had another covid-positive family, The McCauley's, over for an evening of tacos & s'mores.
We stayed hunkered down for the most part but did venture out for walks on a couple of occasions.  It was a great way to beat the blues!
Once Jett's quarantine time was up we got dressed as quickly as possible and got the heck out of Dodge!  We strolled around LaCantera, hit up a fancy schmancy candy store & then had dinner.  it felt sooo good to be out of the house!
Rich worked on Thanksgiving Day so me & the kiddos just hung out at home and watched movies.
We ate our Thanksgiving dinner with Chris, Grandy, on Friday, the following day. It was nice & relaxing & the food that we had ordered from Jada Watts was amazing, as usual. It was a super bummer that Jett got sick but all in all we have sooo very much to be thankful for.
Our "friend", Mickey the Elf, always comes to visit on the day after Thanksgiving.  He showed up this year with a big sign, in the kitchen.  He pulled a few other tricks in November & Jett & Delilah absolutely love waking up each morning to go on the hunt for him.
Time to decorate for our most favorite Holiday of the year... CHRISTMAS!!

Another year of school and another year of school pictures, where it looks like they're growing by double digits each day!
A few extra pics from the month of November...
