NEW STARTS IN AUGUST

 AUGUST 2025

The Twins started August as busy as ever...

Delilah & her Dad attended the Silvies Ice cream Social (while I was recovering from gallbladder surgery), & she picked up her yard sign.  She also had Team practices, a pool party, decorated lockers, went bowling & more.  She's really loving her new friends on the HS Dance Team & it seems they always have fun stuff going on.

Jett started the month strong by getting his hair permed!  Having curly hair (or, the broccoli look, as I call it) is all the rage.
Not too long after that was the SVHS Tennis Team Pool party.  I am thrilled that both kids have found such wonderful friends & coaches.
The Silvies had their Team photos taken & I absolutely LOVE how they turned out.
Next, Jett & Delilah had school schedule pick up & then "Fish Camp" at the high school.
Me, Rich & Delilah attended Aunt Carol's funeral in Houston, while Jett stayed home, with his friend,
Rhett, to attend the Pool party & tennis practice.  Aunt Carol was my Godmother & one of the kindest humans to walk the planet.  She was actually at the hospital the day the Jett & Delilah were born & kept up with them her whole life.  Heaven is a better place with her there.
A few of us Momma's decided to have one last meet up with kiddos, before the craziness of the school year started.  So, we met for lunch at Limestone Cafe & then went next door for dessert.
I made some treats for Delilah to hand out to the dance team, before school starts:
Delilah got gel nails, for the very first time, right before school.  And here is Jett's new hair-do:
Unfortunately, the time we all dreaded... BACK TO SCHOOL!  I absolutely love having Jett & Delilah home all Summer.  Yes, I sometimes feel crazy with the endless dirty rooms, laundry & grocery store trips.  But, knowing they're just down the hall fills my heart with joy.
We started the morning with cinnamon rolls (they were supposed to look like SV, J, D & 9's, buuuuut.... oh, well!)
And, they're off!  Just like that... Freshmen in High school. it seems like just yesterday...
Meanwhile, after drop off, I met up with some friends at Bourbon & Branch for the Boo-Hoo Breakfast.
Day 2 morning VS evening:
Parent Open House at the school.  We met up with the kids and had the opportunity to walk their schedule & meet their teachers.
Special treat for Delilah's Big Sis, for the first football game of the Season.
GAME DAY!  Delilah's very first time to perform as a SVHS Silverado!
Jett picked up his yard sign, as a SVHS JV Tennis Team Player:
Our Photo Booth has stayed consistently busy since starting.  When possible, we set up together & break it down together, in hopes to show Jett & Delilah the ropes.
Some random pics from the month:
