MARCH 2023
We started our Spring like many others... on the ballfields for lots of practices. Spring Ball for both Jett & Delilah was fast approaching & knowing that this could be their last seasons, made it even more important.
For Spring Seasons we get to choose the Jersey numbers for the back of the jersey's. Of course, we chose 44 for both kids. The number 44 was Jett & Delilah's Godfather, Jarrod's, football number.
Our sweet boy surprised us again by being recognized as Comal ISD Superintendent's Student-Of-The-Month! Truly, it's not really a huge surprise... Jett has always been such a respectful, good kiddo! We are so very proud of him!In the midst of baseball, softball & school we still managed to squeeze in a couple of friend sleep overs & dinners. Mardi Gras Day at Spring Branch Middle School:At one of Delilah's softball games she got an INCREDIBLE hit & eventually scored a run! We celebrated as a family with some ice cream. Love these moments! For Spring Break we hit the open road in Dad's new truck & with the Travel Trailer & headed to Broken Bow, OK. The Strottner's joined us for 5 days of camping, horseback riding, exploring, bonfires & good times. We are fully aware that camping won't always be something that the Twins love to do. But, until then, we will take advantage of any chance we can get away together. The day that we got home from Broken Bow was st. Patricks Day. We were exhausted but still mustered the strength to share a green cocktail. The Annual Bluebonnet photos:Daddy surprised Jett & Delilah with some yummy McDonald's at school, for lunch!
At school Delilah & her friend Rhys worked on a project together, in ELA. They had to create a movie trailer for a book that they read. They WON the Oscar Award for their genre!
Delilah took us all by surprise when she announced that she wanted to try out for the SBMS Dance Team! There was a full week of late night practices, tears & sore muscles! But, I literally broke into tears & my heart burst with pride when we found out that she made it! After try outs we all went for pizza at District 46. Then, the next day, after the big news, I made a few little surprises for a couple of the other girls & we had ice cream at Confetti & Cream. I am so excited & cannot wait to watch her at Pepe Ralley's & games. One of our sweet neighbors & friends surprised Delilah with a bag of treats for making the Team.Time for Easter decorations...We had a very special, little gift show up in our yard. The tiniest, sweetest baby deer! Her momma came back for her fairly quickly but I love that the Momma KNEW that her baby would be safe at our home.
A few extras from the month of March:That closes out March. Lots of fun, some great adventures & some mew chapters beginning.
