MARCH
Another Dance competition is the way we started March. This time it was in San Marcos for the Showstoppers Competition. It was 2 days so Delilah skipped 1 day of school & her & I went up on Friday morning. We had a quick breakfast with Rhys, Misty, Cari & Lilly & then went on to South West Texas State. The first day was dedicated to the girls performing solos, duets, trios, etc. It was a super full day & Delilah & Ashley did amazing on their Duet! We couldn't have been any more proud. That night we stayed in a hotel & Delilah's teammate, Daija & her Mom bunked with us. Bright & early the next morning it was time for hair and another full day of dance routines. It was an amazing experience, with this being Delilah's for year of competitions. But, after a quick bit to eat, we were definitely ready for some sleep!
While Delilah & I were gone to the dance comp, Rich & Jett had a full day of fun in downtown San Antonio. They rode the riverboat tour, ate pizza & ice cream, visited the fire station & went up to the top of the Tower of America's.

No sooner was Delilah home from her dance competition, we were watching Jett at a tennis tournament.
A little Easter decor before we head out for Spring break: For Spring Break we loaded up the trailer once again, & hauled to Gulf Shores, AL. Between a blowout on the camper, food poisoning, & an unplanned stopped along the way... we finally made it. And it was awesome! Perfect weather! We did some sight seeing on the board walk; hung out for a bit on the white, sandy beach, went Fort Morgan to do some exploring; took the Ferry to Fort Gaines & checked out Dauphin Island; played pickle ball & truly reconnected as a family.
On our way home from Gulf Shores we stopped through New Orleans. We saw all of the regular stuff & even relaxed for a few minutes to enjoy some coffee & beignets.
Not to be outdone by the trip TO Gulf Shores, we had yet another blow out on the way home!! The twins weren't too disappointed that we had to stop for a new tire right across the street from a Dairy Queen!

Our sweet neighbors & friends, the Bennett's, cared for Cinder & Charlie while we were away & even left us the yummiest treats for when we got home.

I'm so thrilled that Jett has found a sport that he loves! We spend lots of time at these courts.
Celebration time with some friends:
EASTER SUNDAY WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS. Of course we always do the traditional easter egg hunt for the kids, some of which include slips of paper with exercises in them. We also do an adult hunt with mini liquor bottles in the eggs. Of course we smash cascarone eggs on everyone's heads AND this year we added the tortilla slap challenge. Basically, you take a gulp of water but don't swallow. Then, you slap the other person with the tortilla until someone laughs & spits out the water! Lots of fun for everyone!
