Jumping into July means a little festive decorating & red, white & blue manicures for me & Delilah.
We celebrated the 4th of July a day early this year. Since Rich was on shift on the 4th, we hosted a shin-dig around the pool, complete with drinks, snacks, fireworks, friends & family, on the 3rd of July. We also celebrated Chris & Michelle's birthdays with some cake. It was a fantastic afternoon!
For the 4th of July we were invited out to Medina Lake, to spend the day with Jen & Matt. We had a blast cooling off in the lake & the kids took to tubing like fish in water. It was such fun & always love hanging out with dear friends!
We always have the time to squeeze in some arts & crafts. Me & the kids painted squishies, rocks & did a little canvas art.
On July 14th we packed up the car & trailer & headed to one of our most favorite places to camp... Blue Water RV Resort in Freeport, Texas. We all fished, played on the beach, swam in the pool & spent an evening in Crystal Beach, for dinner. The Strottner's and the Carter's joined us.
Covid has been such a crazy & interruptive era in our lives. There are friends that I hadn't seen since before covid so a group of us from high school decided it was high time to have a small get together. It was me, Kim Dennis, Lara McDaniel, Denise Lopez, Marla Matney & Becky Halbert. We all hung out by the pool, snacked and had a few drinks. These girls had me in stitches the whole time!
We had another opportunity to spend some time at the Lake House with Jen Starr & Matt Beebe. Susan & her new guy joined us and we had a fabulous time on the water, tubing, floating & staying cool. Matt & Jen made a delicious dinner and then we all sat outside on the deck & listed to old, 80's rap music. Definitely one for the memory books!
Jett & Delilah didn't have much down time during the month of July. It seemed as though we went from trip to trip & then had a week of Gymnastics Camp. It was hot but they always have such a blast at VIP Gymnastics... and it always helps to cool down with sno-cones from Arctic Jacks.
