ONWARD THROUGH OCTOBER

 OCTOBER 2025

While Jett & Delilah's birthday is actually in September, due to their busy schedules, we celebrated with their friends on October 4th.  The theme this year was Italian... a Pasta Party.  We had a private chef come over & cook several types of pasta dishes, along with salad & bread.  They swam, ate, had birthday cake, played ping-pong & took pics with the Photo Booth.  We are blessed that the Twins have surrounded themselves with such great friends!

Before the birthday celebrations, Delilah had a slight mishap at the dance studio.  She landed short while practicing her aerials & sprained her ankle.  She was in a boot for a week but was a real trooper.
Delilah received the Dancer of the Week!  So proud of her!
The next football game was the Dancer/Mom Dance Night!  All of the Mom's learned a dance, practiced it & performed it on the football field at the halftime show.  It's been a minute since this 57 yr old gal has had this experience but it was GREAT fun.. (And, I'd like to go on the record that it is NOT just like "riding a bike")
The day had come for Jett & Delilah to get their driver's permit! We went bright & early before school & walked out with them smiling from ear to ear!
We are so thrilled that both kids have really been engaged with our new church & Christianity.  They joined some other teens & attended a Church retreat & had an absolute blast.
Jett really stretched out of his comfort zone & ran for Officer of his Student Body.  And while he did get the position, we are so proud of him for trying & I pray he continues to put himself out there.
Another SVHS Tennis Match for my boy:

And another football game performance for our girl.  This one was special because the middle school dance teams & the high school Pep squads joined them for a dance on the field.  Delilah truly loved seeing all of her friends that still attend SBMS.
Who, exactly, are these grown up children in these photos?  Here are their 9th grade school pics:
This year a new phrase has really taken off with the teens.  Oddly, it's just "6-7".  That's it.  No-one really knows what it means or why it's so funny.  But, Rich & I used it as our Halloween costume at the annual Harkins Halloween Party:
Rich & Delilah left a little early to pick up the Photo Booth from a job in New Braunfels.
Grandy came in for a visit & luckily she was able to catch one of Jett's tennis matches AND see Delilah dance at a football game.
For the very first time since 2010, the year that the twins were born, Jett & Delilah chose to do their own thing.  I guess long gone are the days of Family themed costumes.  While I'm definitely a little sad about this transition it's such a joy watching them grow into such amazing humans.
They met up with some dear friends, the Almaguers, Avalo's & Chicks & rode around on the back of a trailer in a neighboring community.  In the meantime, Rich, myself & Grandy hung back at the house, trying to stay warm around the fire pit & handed out candy.
Saturday evening church with my babies!
