JANUARY:
Well, if starting the first blog post for 2026 in JULY doesn't say it... Let me just say... Things have been as busy as ever!
It's a great sign when the new year starts off with work. And it sure did. As a family, we set up the Photo Booth for a Sweet 16 birthday party, in Alamo Heights. While the party was going, we had an early dinner at Blue Bird Bakery.
As I do every year in January, I made a large batch of chicken & dumplings with fried corn pone. Always a family favorite.
Delilah invited some sweet girls over & hosted a Bible Chain making afternoon. Such a cute idea! Great job, girls.
First tennis tournament of the year for Jett, downtown SA. It was sunny but cold and the best part of the day was when Rich showed up with his crew, to cheer him on.
Time to decorate the house for Valentines Day:
First Dance competition weekend of the year, for Delilah. Actually, it was 2 separate competitions. On Friday we drove to Austin where Delilah competed her solo for ADC, at the Spotlight competition. Early on Saturday we drove to Dripping Springs for the SVHS competition. Then, on Sunday, we were back for the second half of the ADC competition. (pics of the snackle box I pack for her, on such crazy weekends)
While we were away all weekend, at the dance competition, Rich & Jett had a relaxing couple of days eating snacks & working on Jett's driving.
A few random photos from January:
FEBRUARY:
We began February similar to January... A SVHS Tennis Tourney for Jett & boy, was it another chilly one?
Later, that same evening, I attended the annual Valley Reveal, at the high school, where the dance teams show off all of the dances that they will be performing for the season.
One of Delilah's sweet girlfriends had a birthday & Delilah wanted it to be super special. She invited Autumn to the movies, to see "Stray Kids". We decorated the back of the car and even took her a couple of yummy cupcakes. (Such a fun evening with these teenage girls)
Delilah & I volunteered for the very first middle school dance competition, hosted by the SVHS Dance teams.
I absolutely love giving gifts to my Love's for Valentines Day. I made Delilah a new tee; we made treats for her dance team & the Director's & I made snackle boxes for them to take on our camping trip, for the winter break.

Off to our annual winter break camping trip with the Strottner's. We went to Fredericksburg & had such a relaxing weekend. We played games, went for walks, watched movies; played pickleball & just enjoyed our downtime with friends.
2026 Silvies Winter Dinner:
Later in the month, 2/20-2/22, Delilah & I headed to Dripping Springs for the CPD Dance competition.
It seems that if we aren't at a dance competition, we are at a tennis tournament. Nowhere I'd rather be, than front and center, supporting my kiddos.
Another JV SVHS tennis tourney for Jett:
The very next weekend, was the final dance comp for the Silvies, in San Marcos at SWT.
